Required Skills & Experience: 1+ years of fiber optic/data center experience Experience installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting, and/or splicing fiber optic cabling. Experience terminating various fiber connectors including LC, SC, ST, FC, SMA, FDDI, and MPO/MTP. Experience testing and troubleshooting fiber using: OTDR, Fluke DTX 180, Power Meter/Light Source (PMLS) Ability to identify and resolve network and end-to-end fiber issues. Basic copper cabling and termination experience, including CAT3/CAT5 terminations, patch panels, and 66/110 blocks.
Job Description: Insight Global is seeking Fiber Technicians Level I and II to support fiber optic infrastructure projects across client environments. This individual will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
